Arranging Investor Web Access

This guide provides key information on how to setup Investor access, allowing the Client to view information available to them on the Portal.

Getting Started

On accessing the Portal you will be taken to the Dashboard screen.

Selecting the Main Menu icon at the top of the screen provides access to the Investors menu.


From here select Web Access.

Locating the Investor

From the search screen, locate the desired Investor and confirm selection by clicking on the line of data shown.

The Investor Details screen is now shown and can be checked at this point to ensure accuracy.

It is particularly important to check the Email Details as the Account Activation email received by the Investor will be sent to the details shown here.

The Email Notifications check box will be selected to confirm the Investor can receive notifications from the Portal of any additions or amendments to their Accounts for viewing or taking appropriate action when required.

Activating Web Access for the Investor

To activate Web Access for the chosen Investor, click on Activate at the bottom of the Investor Details screen. If the Investor already has Web Access a green bar with a tick will be shown here.

Web Access Username

Once Activate has been selected a Username for the Investor must now be created following the guidance shown.

The Username must be unique. If the Username is already in use then a warning will be displayed and the Activation cannot be completed until this is rectified.

The Username can be the Investor’s email address however a shared email address cannot be used for the Username of both parties on a joint account. (E.g. Husband & Wife)

Once the Username has been selected, click on Activate Web Access.

An email will now be sent to the selected Investor with instructions for accessing the Portal and setting up their required passwords/security options.

For security purposes if the account is not activated within 48 hours then the original email link is no longer valid. The Web Access screen will now show Awaiting Activation. If Investor access/reactivation is still required, the IFA Company has the ability to click on Resend Activation as part of the self-serve functionality available to them and a further email with an additional 48 hour activation period will be sent.

Investor Access to the Portal

Once activated, the Investor can follow the link provided in the activation email and will access the Portal through the screen shown below.

The Investor will now have access to information on their Accounts as outlined in the Investor Access / View On Behalf of Guide.

The Adviser can also access this information with exactly the same view as the Investor allowing them to see what the Investor can see as part of any discussions.
