Creating an Investor on the Portal
This guide provides key information on how to manually create an Investor on the Portal.
On accessing the Portal you will land on the Dashboard screen below.
Selecting the Main Menu icon at the top of the screen provides access to the Investors menu.
From here select Create Investor.
The Create New Investor screen can now be completed with the new Investor details, ensuring all required fields (*) are completed.
Multiple Address, Nationality and Countries of Taxation details can be added as required by selecting for the applicable field(s).
Additional KYC information is required for AML purposes for Individual investors.
For Corporate investors, further information regarding the corporate sub-type & two additional piece of information will be captured for AML purposes.
Vulnerable information is located at the bottom of the Create New Investor screen. Where required, check the ‘Is Vulnerable’ box, then select .
You can now select the Vulnerability classification and appropriate Service level and Correspondence requirements from the dropdowns shown.
Once all fields on the Create New Investor screen are complete, select to add the Investor.
To create an Investor and their Spouse or Partner at the same time, check the ‘Add Spouse’ box to access a second column for completion.
Checking the ‘Use Same Address’ box will copy the completed address over from the Investor to the Spouse or Partner column.
Using the Add Spouse & Use Same Address options where applicable saves time & avoids any unnecessary duplication in the process.
Any required fields not completed correctly when creating an Investor will be clearly indicated as shown.
The process cannot be completed until the required amendments are made.
On successful creation of a new Investor you will be taken to the new Investor’s Global View screen from where an Application process can now be started.
Once the Investor is created, they can be searched for & located through Dashboard/Manage however they will not show under Investor Accounts until they have at least one in-force Wrapper/Account.
