Account Amendment – Add / Amend Contributions

This guide provides key information on how to Add/Amend Contributions on the Portal.

Getting Started 

On accessing the Portal you will be taken to the Dashboard screen below.

For Users with no linked Investor or Account details (e.g. Admin staff) the Dashboard will show as below.

Now select the Main Menu icon at the top of the screen.

From the ribbon shown select the Investors menu.

Then either Dashboard/Manage or Investor Accounts.

Dashboard/Manage allows you to search for any Investor on the Portal whether they have any in-force Accounts or not. Selecting the Investor will take you to the Investor’s Global View.

Investor Accounts allows you to search for an individual Account. The Account must be in-force to be visible here.

Clicking on the blue boxes to the left of the input field allows the Search criteria to be changed to any of the options listed, Persons Name, Account ID, Person ID etc.

When searching by Account ID, you can simply input the last three digits and the letter to locate the desired Account, e.g.155A to search for DC00000155A.

On locating the desired account, select the Globe button on the right to access the Investor’s Global View.

Investor Global View

To begin the Amendment process first locate the required Account on the right of the screen and click on the All Account Actions cog in the bottom right of this tile.

The All Account Actions menu will now expand as shown. Select Add/Amend Contributions to setup or amend Contributions for this Account through the completion of the following steps.

Step 1- Contributions

Complete/amend the fields shown as required. For Regular Contributions the method, frequency, payer and start date can be selected through the dropdown options. The Calendar icon here allows selection of the desired date.

Transfers = Cash transfers Re-registrations = In Specie transfers

The Manager dropdown for Transfers and Re-registrations will show all of the ceding schemes listed for electronic transfer via Origo or ATG.

The Portal will recognise the formatting of the account number based on the ceding scheme selected.

Step 2 – Account Charges

Contribution charges should be entered as appropriate here, either by monetary or %age value.

New charges can be added where required by clicking Add New then selecting from the Charge Type dropdown.

Step 3 – Transfers and Re-registrations

For any Transfers, the Registered Holders and Client Reference Number are required here. Detail will pull through from that completed in Step 1.

The Registered Holders Name and Client Reference Number must be entered exactly as held at the ceding scheme.

If a Partial Transfer is required this box should be checked and further details provided via Freshdesk / the Platform Support Team.

Please Note: The Portal will check the format of the Client Reference Number against our database of ceding scheme information. If there is a discrepancy this will flag as shown below.

Step 4 – Investment Options

Select the applicable option to confirm how the Contribution should be invested. Please refer to our additional guide on Investment Options for further details.

Step 5 – Continue to Portfolio Effect

If Continue to Portfolio Effect is selected then the Estimated Portfolio Effect screen lets us view the related trades for the amendment. This detail can also be printed here if required.

GIA only - Continue by selecting CGT Effect to show potential Capital Gains Tax information for the GIA as shown below.

An option to Print is also available here. The next Step can now be selected if we are happy to proceed.

Step 6 – Summary

The Summary details the Amendment Actions to be made with Amendment and Illustration PDF’s now available to capture, print or view.

The Amendment can be saved at this point awaiting further information/action and returned to for completion when applicable.

Step 6 – Payment Options

Bank Details should be completed here if not previously added. Payment details are shown on the right of the screen for Electronic Transfers etc. and these will also be captured on the PDF documents produced.

Step 7 – Declarations

Declarations will populate based on the Contribution details selected and should be confirmed here. The example shown includes Transfer Considerations and an Amendment Declaration.

Declarations will also be captured on the PDF documents produced.

Where a Transfer is applicable, the Transfer authority documentation should also be uploaded to the Portal as and when required. Please see the Documentation Upload guide for further details.

Step 8 – Summary and Confirmation

The Amendment and Illustration PDF’s are again available to capture, print or view if there have been any changes since the Summary Step. The Amendment can then be saved for later completion or click on Confirm Amendment to complete.

Confirmation of the amendment will be displayed and the updated details will show on the wrapper’s Account details screen.
