Investor Data Quality – Action Required

SS&C Hubwise is required to provide protection and assurances over the services we provide to our clients and their investors. Having reliable and accurate data on our platform is critical for SS&C Hubwise and our Partner Firms to meet our regulatory obligations. We rely on our clients to ensure the data on the SS&C Hubwise platform is kept up to date and accurate at all times

Inaccurate data will impact SS&C Hubwise’s ability to successfully complete AML verification without referral.

Please ensure that all client data remains current and accurate including the mandatory data in the table below.

While the vast majority of investor data is accurate, where we have identified missing/ dummy or invalid data and it remains uncorrected, we will apply restrictions to the investor account.

Mandatory Data

Notes

1

Full Names

  • Please use the investors full name without abbreviations, for example, Christopher instead of Chris.

2

Address

  • It is possible to add multiple addresses within the portal. For reporting reasons, the investor address must be included.
  • Investors with a non-UK address will have their account status set to ‘NUR’ to reflect their overseas status

3

Date of Birth

  • Every individual must have a DOB (and dummy DOBs are not acceptable).

4

Nationality

5

National Insurance number OR 1st priority National Identifier

  • Every individual account must have either a NINO (for UK nationals) or a National Identifier (for non-UK nationales). Dummy NINOs are generally not acceptable unless the account holder genuinely does not have a NINO.
  • A comprehensive list of National Client Identifiers can be found here - FCA Handbook - ANNEX II National client identifiers for natural persons to be used in transaction reports
  • If you are unable to provide the 1st priority identifier, you must provide the 2nd priority.
  • Where it states ‘CONCAT’, this field would be built internally so long as the client nationality field is populated correctly & accurately. Failure to populate client nationality would lead to missed regulatory reporting.

6

Investor type category

  • Individual
  • Corporate
  • Court Appointed Deputy
  • Trust

7

Bank account details

8

LEI (for Corporate accounts)

  • Unless the trust is a bare trust we would require the LEI for the trust in order for the trades to be processed correctly. Trades should not be placed on an account without a valid LEI attached.
  • This link will help to identify an LEI - LEI Lookup - Search and verify Legal Entity Identifiers

9

Associated 3rd Parties

The majority of investor data highlighted above can be updated on a single screen – “Investor Details” - the second tab within the Investor Overview .

To help identify investors with inaccurate/ missing data, please use the MI reports available under the Company Reports menu. These include:

  • General MI request (refreshed daily)
  • Vulnerable Customers report (refreshed daily)
  • Hubwise Bank and AML referrals (refreshed daily)

We appreciate your cooperation in supporting the efforts to meet our joint regulatory responsibility.  It should be noted that SS&C Hubwise’s regulatory obligation does not reduce or remove your own regulatory responsibilities
