Partial transfers have been reinstated. Within the Plan Transfer Authority Details page in the portal, the partial transfers box is once again available for selection. Partial transfers can be cash or in-specie. For in-specie it is essential that the holdings to be transferred are defined. A holdings file (csv) of the instruments and quantities to be transferred will need to be submitted through Freshdesk. A procedure guide explains the required process. This file should be provided once the application has been completed. For all partial transfers, cash or in-specie the transfer process will involve direct communication with the ceding party. This will mitigate previous issues that gave rise to the complete policy being transferred due to a third party electronic process not supporting partial requests.
This was communicated on 2nd October:
Dear Customer
New Process
From today, we are no longer accepting Partial Transfer In requests until we are able to provide an automated solution via the portal.
Why this has been introduced?
To further enable Straight Through Processing (STP), this change will allow submitted transfer forms, eligible for Electronic Transfer via the Altus Transfer Gateway (ATG), to be submitted to ceding parties automatically. However, additional work is required to facilitate this functionality for partial transfers.
The option to select a Partial Transfer remains on our platform and transfer forms, however will be removed in our upcoming release next week. More details of that release will be shared in the coming days.
Please be aware that any Partial Transfer requests that are submitted, will automatically be submitted as a full request.
Should you have any questions then please contact our Customer Services Team via your Freshdesk Account or by emailing Customer.Services@Hubwise.co.
