Standard and Non-standard Assets

We do not hold non-standard assets, or dirty share classes.  


Suspended funds can be transferred to us in some circumstances, but cannot obviously be traded.


The types of standard assets we can generally hold, is noted below, with the exception of commercial property which is not permitted.  


  • Cash
  • Cash funds
  • Deposits
  • Exchange traded commodities
  • Government & local authority bonds and other fixed interest stocks
  • Investment notes (structured products)
  • Shares in Investment trusts
  • Managed pension funds
  • National Savings and Investment products
  • Permanent interest bearing shares (PIBs)
  • Physical gold bullion
  • Real estate investment trusts (REITs)
  • Securities admitted to trading on a regulated venue
  • Units in regulated collective investment schemes


Pricing information will need to be available via Morning Star and from a currency perspective, these standard assets will need to be in GBP, USD or EUR.  In all instances, any funds requested which are not currently included on our Buy List, will be considered appropriately by the senior team.
