Asset Onboarding Process

The attached Fund Request Lookup Spreadsheet enables you to check against your Buylist to ensure that the funds/assets you are requesting are not already available to you.

Load the funds/assets you are requesting into the first tab.  It will then lookup against the standard buylist which is on another tab.  It will then return- on the first tab- whether the funds/assets need to be put into the request tab.

You should then raise a Freshdesk ticket with the subject line ‘New Fund/Asset Request- and your Firm Name’ using the Ticket Type ‘Fund Request’.

Please complete all relevant fields to avoid delays.  We will return the form asking for full completion if you have not done so.

If we have an existing relationship and active account with the Fund Manager, then we will contact the Fund Manager to request access and keep you updated on the Freshdesk Ticket.

If a Fund Manager declines access, we will inform you of the reason and where appropriate we will request an alternative fund.

Where we do not have an existing Fund Manager relationship, we will work via Allfunds Bank. They will use their existing account or request to open a new one with the Fund Manager on our behalf. This can take time and is fully dependent on the processing times of the Fund Manager.  You can request updates on the Freshdesk ticket, and we will keep you informed of progress and advise of any hold-ups.  You can use your influence on the Fund Houses as appropriate to assist in the timely completion of this process.

Exchange Traded Instruments:

Must trade on a recognised exchange

Must be in GBP/EUR/USD and priced daily

These are usually added within 10 working days

IMPORTANT: Your Buylist MUST be checked prior to requesting to check if assets are already available.

You can either check if an asset is available by using your Buylist file (available via the portal under Company Reports) or you can check via the portal using 'Model Maintenance Dashboard' - search using ISIN or Name:

The attached template is required for requesting any new assets to be added to your Buylist. Please complete the spreadsheet in full (this is mandatory) and attach to a new Freshdesk ticket using the following title format: “New Asset request - 'Platform Name'”. If the template is not completed in full, we will reject the request.

Funds:

All requests must meet our minimum onboarding criteria:

  • We can receive a price from our data provider.
  • ‘Clean’ Shareclass (the fund does not pay a rebate)
  • Currency is GBP, EUR or USD
  • Trades Daily
  • Non-daily calculated dividends
  • Minimum T+1 (trade day plus 1 working day) settlement

If Hubwise has an existing relationship and active account with the Fund Manager, then Hubwise will contact the Fund Manager to request access. *If approved, Hubwise will receive static data from the Fund Manager to enable accurate setup.

If we cannot access the fund via an existing Fund Manager relationship, then we will seek to use Allfunds Bank for dealing and custody. They will then open an account with the Fund Manager on our behalf (if one does not already exist). We usually expect this to be complete within a couple of weeks however, this is not always the case and is dependent on the processing times of the Fund Manager themselves.

* If a fund manager declines access, we will inform you of the reason (this is usually down to the restrictions on the fund itself).  Where appropriate we will request an alternative fund.

Exchange Traded Instruments

All requests must meet our minimum onboarding criteria:

Trades on a recognised exchange

GBP/EUR/USD and we can receive a daily price from our data provider)

Exchange traded instruments are usually added within 5 working days providing they meet our minimum onboarding criteria

Hubwise will provide regular updates on in progress requests and inform you if any are unavailable or if we need any further information.
