Important Update - Change to Employer Contributions for Hubwise/Hartley SIPPs

Modified on Fri, 28 Jun, 2024 at 12:56 PM

Dear Client,

You may be aware from our previous communication sent 23 November 2021 that we are changing the bank account into which Direct Debit (DD) contributions are to be paid for employers within a Hartley administered SIPP. We have taken recent Partner Firm feedback around the timeframes onboard and as a result, are now aiming to collect the employer contributions from 1 February 2022.

For existing investors, Hartley will take the last employer contribution on 1 January 2022. Hubwise will start to collect employer contributions with effect from 1 February 2022.  Hartley will cancel the existing employer DDs after the 1 January 2022 contribution is completed, we will then cancel records in our system to reflect this. Each of the cancelled DDs will need to be re-entered through the Adviser Portal such that from 1 February 2022 payment will be received into the Hubwise bank account. We will share the list of accounts with existing employer DDs and the process to add employer DDs on the portal, via Freshdesk.

Existing business:
Please note the DDs must be submitted on our portal only after we have cancelled them, which means you must submit DD for the existing accounts only on or after 6 January 2022 (for 1 February collection date). However, you can start the amendment application for these accounts using ‘Add/Amend contributions’ to generate a Direct Debit Mandate form, obtain the employer’s signature (digital signatures such as DocuSign and AdobeSign are accepted) and save the amendment progress to submit on or after 6 January 2022.
In order to meet the deadline for 1 February 2022 collection, please submit direct debit instructions via the portal by 20 January 2022. Instructions submitted after this will be set up for collection from 1 March 2022.

New business: You will be able to submit any new employer Direct Debit contributions (digitally) on Hubwise portal for 1 January 2022 collection date.

Should you require any further information or have any queries please do not hesitate to contact our Client Services Team, via Freshdesk in the usual manner.

Kind regards,

Douglas Boyce
