Notification of change to HubwiseConnect authorisation structure 9Nov21

Created by Corinne O'Brien, Modified on Fri, 28 Jun at 12:56 PM by Rohith Krishna

Dear Client,

We would like to make you aware of a change we will be implementing to the legal structure under which Hubwise Connect operates and is authorised.  We have made it our top priority to ensure the minimum of disruption to your client relationships and your day-to-day business when making this change.

Hubwise Connect Limited, registered in England and Wales with Company Number 04351250, is wholly owned by Hubwise Securities Limited and currently operates as an Appointed Representative of Hubwise Securities Limited, its “Principal” (FCA status).

You entered into an Agreement with Hubwise Connect Limited to supply you and your Clients with a Platform, whereby Hubwise Securities Limited, an authorised Platform Service Provider, provides custody (including holding client money), execution and settlement, and platform technology.

We have now registered ‘HubwiseConnect’ as a trading name of Hubwise Securities Limited and are bringing the service directly into the Hubwise Securities offering, so that Hubwise Connect Ltd will cease to be an Appointed Representative and instead the regulatory permissions required to operate the HubwiseConnect service will be directly provided as part of Hubwise Securities Ltd.

Despite this restructuring of the authorisation of the HubwiseConnect service, in reality, nothing changes for you or your clients, other than the regulatory disclosures.  Hubwise Securities Limited remains your custodian and continues to provide all of the services included within the HubwiseConnect offering, and the existing competitive platform charges do not change.

It is important to note that this is not a re-platforming exercise, and:

  1. The modern technology and regulatory framework underpinning HubwiseConnect remains exactly the same;

  2. There is no data migration involved;

  3. No new technology needs to be adopted;  and

  4. No new user profiles will need to be created.

The only amendment will be to the regulatory disclosures currently carried on the website and the service literature, simply to reflect the above change of status and we will be issuing updated documentation within the coming week.

This notification is really just to explain this slight ‘behind the scenes' change, however, we would be grateful if you could acknowledge that you have received this communication and that you accept the change, by emailing us at legal@hubwise.co.uk. Of course, if you have any questions, then please do not hesitate to raise these via that email address in the meantime.

Kind regards

                                                      Douglas Boyce
