Altus Transfers - Review Of Transfer Authorisation Forms 28/04/23

Dear client,

We have been reviewing the end-to-end transfer process and will be implementing the following changes from 2nd May 23 to make the process smoother and reduce some of the paperwork.

Approximately 80% of transfers are now executed electronically without the need for a Transfer Authority Form (TAF). Hubwise has never required these, but we have taken a safety-first approach and always sought them to be provided. However, given the vast majority of ceding parties no longer require TAFs, we are changing our approach, and we will only require them if the ceding party does not use Altus . A list of firms that use Altus can be found on the Knowledge Base.

Where the TAF is required, either because the ceding party isn’t on Altus or the transfer has been rejected for some reason, we do require you to ensure that the correct details are entered onto the system and match those of the Transfer Authorisation Form (TAF). We cannot be held liable for any discrepancies on the TAF over what has been entered on to the system.  We will also only review TAFs on occasions where the transfer has been rejected in Altus.

Further details on this process can be found on the Knowledge Base. We hope this process change makes it easier for you for Altus enabled transfers.

Kind regards

Douglas Boyce
